The Whips n Wheels Driving Club is an American Driving Society affiliate  carriage driving club in the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles.  The Club began in Stratford, TX in 2005. Stratford citizens were looking for an event to make Stratford a destination.  Cece Green Yelek suggested a Sporting Day of Traditional Driving to bring horses and drivers from around the area to Stratford.  The original club members were not drivers themselves, but instead local citizens wanting to host an event for drivers.  As the event unfolded, the Club was able to attract drivers, thus making it a club with two arms, one to put the event on, and the other, a group of drivers.
 
Whips n Wheels Driving Club is dedicated to driving horses and having fun.  We believe in driver safety and education to support learning more about the sport and all it has to offer.  We get together and drive several times a year and have a larger event the last weekend in September each year.
